Oh, I'm not denying it. You're right, it is socialism. And not particularly efficient socialism, either.

Private charities would be far more efficient ant providing help to those in need. But, with the government already confiscating around half of our earnings, not many of us can afford to donate to charities anymore.

And, incidentally, I'm receiving a government handout, too. In the form of a VA disability, I receive several hundred dollars in government money and benefits every month.

And I admit I feel conflicted about it. I don't like feeding off taxpayers. But, on the other hand, I damn well earned that money. So, I take it, and principles be damned.
