I just watched the episode where they're handing out M16s off the back of a truck to "all able-bodied persons aged 16 and over." The scene where the one guy handed his daughter an M16 was choking me up a bit. When my daughters are old enough, they will not be strangers to semi-automatic, military-pattern long arms.

I'm still shocked to see things on this show that have been discussed on this board, e.g., should we acquire rifles in addition to our own MBLs for use by others.

I just finished season 1, and I can't believe how they left it hanging. Fortunately for me I don't have to wait several months to find out what happens as the first disc of season 2 should arrive early next week. I'm really tempted to ask what happens with the firefight and the train, but I think I can hold out until next week.
