I think Biden is clearly worried about both Jill Stein and Cornel West. Between the two of them, they're likely to pull in about 3% of the vote - but that's 3% he can't afford to lose. And he thinks maybe this will help him hang onto it.

Maybe. But how much of the Black and Hispanic vote will he alienate with this? He's already losing Black and Hispanic votes, and i suspect this will cost him more voters than he gains.
