The FBI says they're looking for "an individual" in connection with the bombing. I'm taking that with a huge grain of salt.
For one thing, though I don't know what the explosive was yet, I just don't think one person could put together a bomb like that. It took McVeigh and Nichols eight months to put together the Oklahoma City bomb, and I just don't see how one person could do it. It's possible that one of the bomb builders is the "human remains" they found, but even so, it's probably more likely that three or more people built it.
There is a history for this, maybe the most famous being the Hillside Strangler case. The authorities knew after the first body was found that two killers were involved, but kept that quiet.
