Greywolf is totally correct, if lets say ten States were to Secede the result would not be as it was the last time, this time I believe there may not even be a War.

This time as Greywolf stated it is different.

A few things to consider.

Now today there is no Slavery. And no other unifying cause important enough for the Liberals to fight for

Last time it was the North vs the South.

This time it will not be North vs South but Liberal States vs Conservative States.

Last time very very very few, Northerners had friends that were Southerners or even knew any Southerners and did not even know anything about the South.

Today a large percentage of people living in the DC controlled Union, not only know and are friends with people who will be living in the Seceded States but they even have Family Members who live there.

During the first Civil War a lot of Yankees wanted to teach the South a lesson and though it would be fun to kill a few Johnny Rebs.

Today the people living in the DC Controlled Union States are Anti-freedom, Anti-gun and Anti-fighting-for-anything Liberals who will not want to risk their Precious lives fighting against the New Confederacy. In short they are cowards and don't believe in anything enough to fight for it.

And as to the Military we need to think about this.

The last time the Union told all the Military who were Southerners to return to the South if they wanted to, since the Union did not want any Soldiers who's loyalty was to their home State and the Confederacy.

This time if States were to Secede it would be very different and the Federal Government would not be able to take any effective action to force the Seceded States back into the Union.

And one more thing as to the Military, if lets say ten or even as few as four States, depending on which States, were to Secede the Military does not have anywhere near the Combat strength to force them to do anything.
