To me, prayer and preparation go hand in glove.
I see some who refuse to prepare materially for disaster saying the God will protect them, and maybe he will. I also see those that prepare only in the secular sense and leave out the spiritual aspects.
While one is free to do as he or she chooses, I feel that a balance must be struck between the two.
I believe that failure to prepare is preparing to fail. I further believe failure to prepare without prayer for guidance is preparing to fail catastrophically.
