Because, you know, those libertarian groups are dangerous. Why, they want to not boss you around! You should tremble in fear! According to the SPLC, "an astonishing 363 new Patriot groups appeared in 2009, with the totals going from 149 groups (including 42 militias) to 512 (127 of them militias) - a 244% jump" in 2008. Who are these "new Patriot groups" we should be so frightened of? Well, the SPLC's roster includes 48 separate listings of a group called "We the People," a non-profit, largely libertarian organization founded by anti-tax activist Robert Schultz. The report stops short--just barely--of calling the various TEA Parties "extremist groups," but it does note that they "are shot through with rich veins of radical ideas, conspiracy theories and racism." I don't give the SPLC or the ADL much credit, but it would be wise to read their report. After all, we'll undoubtedly see Janeane Garofalo or some other talking head spouting this nonsense, and it would be wise to have our responses prepared in advance. Onward and upward, airforce

The SPLC is a joke on a fishing expedition. They have to keep the masses living in fear so they will continue to donate to Morris Sleaze retirement fund.
I spoke to the State Commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans a couple of days ago. Seems the SPLC is going after that organization again as well.
SPLC also recently contacted Mike Vanderbough the other day wanting to do an interview about the "3 Percenters". MV told them where to get off.
Anyone who doesn't know what the SPLC is really about should watch the expose currently being broadcast on UPN.

Actually the SCV is a Confederate heritage organization. The reason the SPLC hates them is because we honor the memory of our ancestors who had the guts to give the ferral government the finger 150 years ago. And, because we teach all who will listen why they did it and why we might need to do it again.

RRR,
Look at it this way. You have conservatives and neo conservatives. The two may both claim to be republican but they are NOT the same. The neo-cons are nothing but "republican socialist lite".
Now, within the SCV and numerous other Southron organizations you have Confederates and neo-Cons. To the neo-cons it's all about being in some warm and fuzzy social club and honoring their ancestors. But, these same neocons will then apologize for their ancestors "transgressions" against the union...saying that's all in the past. These neo-cons will pay homage to the Lost Cause (Southron independence) then pledge allegiance to the yankee rag..one nation indivisible and all that crap. The Confederate on the other hand will not apologize and in fact will tell you that there is no such thing as the "Lost" Cause. He still hates the yankee government in Washington just as much if not more so than his ancestors did. And, he would be more than willing to "do it again" at the drop of a hat.

Nice to see my group finally made the list. It's only been a couple years and numerous 'reports' and they FINALLY got us on there.
Insert something witty here

Good point here. The collectivists and imperialists always try to link the Klan (a modern Northern institution) with the Southern Movement. It is just a smear campaign, no different than linking Anti-tax, Anti-FED, and Pro-liberty activists with domestic terrorists. I would say I am a Civic Southern Nationalist. Love of the Confederacy (which I do) is mostly nostalgia. What ever the new state (even a reconfigured United States) that comes to represent the legitimate liberty aspirations and the Right to Self-Determination of the Southron People will not likely be a New Confederate States of America; even if it is a confederation. If a desire for national self-determination is racism then the UN Charter is a racist document. I guess I am sort of a "Confederate," then, since I am more than ready to do it again ;-)

Onward and upward, airforce Well honestly Airforce, Those damn Cheerios are all the same color and keep other cereals out of their box. Unlike the our dear Captain Crunch with Crunch berries and who allow all different shades of cererals to co-mengle in the box. The SPLC has been using the Militia movement for 20 years to get funds, by misinformation and outright lies. I would never expect anything less from them. a proud member of the SVC, It's a social club? Damn and I missed the dances. To the SPLC putting the SCV on your site is fine, your not from the south, so you wouldn't understand....
I believe in absolute Freedom, as little interference from any government as possible...And I'll fight any man trying to take that away from me.
